Overcoming my own personal struggles solidified my desire and passion for social work. I consider it a privilege to work with others coping with similar difficulties in their lives, and guiding them in their journey of overcoming their own struggles.
I have obtained a bachelor of Social Work from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in mental health. This education has provided me with the tools and techniques to tailor my counselling approach to my client’s unique needs. I have benefited from many diverse work opportunities that have further refined my skills. Specifically, I have much experience assisting the elderly, the LGBTQ+ community, and those experiencing mental health issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I feel fortunate to now apply my skills to work alongside the other great counsellors at Lifecycle Counselling
My modalities include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Strength Based Counselling, Problem-Solving and Crisis Intervention Approaches, and Motivational Interviewing.
