About

My name is Pervaiz Muhammad and I am currently pursuing my MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, building upon a foundation of two science degrees, including an MSc from the University of Waterloo. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the blue-collar industry, I intimately understand life’s myriad challenges and empathize deeply with the struggles individuals face across different phases of their lives.

Rumi’s profound words, “The wound is the place where the Light enters you,” resonate deeply with me, encapsulating my belief that our experiences, however challenging, can imbue life with profound meaning and growth. My journey, rooted in the diverse Middle Eastern communities of the GTA, as an immigrant blessed with multilingual proficiency, has bestowed upon me a unique lens through which to perceive life’s trials and triumphs.

In my practice, I specialize in trauma, anxiety, family dynamics, parenting, divorce, depression, addiction, and men’s issues, among others. Drawing from a rich tapestry of modalities, I tailor my approach to suit the individual needs of each client, fostering a safe and supportive environment where healing and growth can flourish.

With a heartfelt commitment to destigmatizing mental health and empowering individuals from all walks of life, I strive to cultivate a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and non-judgment. Whether navigating the complexities of trauma or embarking on a journey towards self-discovery, I am here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, support, and a beacon of hope as you navigate life’s intricate tapestry.

Modalities: Attachment-Based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Islamic Integrated Psychotherapy.
