About

Hello! I am Jasleen. I applaud your courage and thank you for being here as this in itself is a big step.

A lifelong fascination for the enigmatic canvas of human behaviour and relationships drew me toward the field of psychology. However, an insatiable passion for helping others, rooted in the principle of paying it forward, and my lived experiences have propelled me to embrace psychotherapy professionally. This profession is simply an organic extension of myself and the values I hold.

It is an honor and privilege to be your companion in this sojourn, where I diligently strive to support you to realize your fullest potential and find joy through building resilient and meaningful relationships. Together, we can tap into the power of compassion, love and acceptance, which can help you overcome adversities and find balance by recognizing the interconnectedness of our lives and world. A trustworthy emotional connection and my humanity
form the core of all my relationships, and this is what I bring to you. I recognize the stigma attached to mental health and diligently work towards eliminating it. As a client-centered, culturally responsive therapist, I will also encourage you to discover your unique inner strength and beauty and gradually find the space where you are being defined and not confined by your sociocultural identity.

I have a Bachelors in Education from University of Toronto (OISE), and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Modalities: Person-centered/Humanistic, Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Religious-Integrated Psychotherapy (Sikhism) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
