About

As a Social Worker/Psychotherapist and child of South Asian immigrant parents, I take an integrative and holistic approach to provide mental health support that is client-centered and unique to each person’s needs. While I strongly believe that therapy is a safe space for you to talk to me and receive compassionate feedback, support, and validation, it is equally as important to me for therapy to be change-oriented. I want you to feel and see changes in your life through the practical strategies, exercises, and tools from therapy.

I understand that you are the expert in your own life, so I aim to make this process collaborative and guide you in your journey of healing, self-discovery, and growth. Together, we will create a personalized support plan for you to achieve your goals.

I have had the privilege of working with very diverse populations, especially the newcomer/immigrant and BIPOC communities. As a 1.5 generation immigrant, person of colour and woman who has overcome battles of my own, I recognize the role that intersectionality plays in our mental well-being. As such, I understand the importance of integrating cultural, religious, and spiritual frameworks alongside research-based treatment.

I know how daunting it can be to reach out for help and tackle the cultural or faith-based stigmas surrounding therapy. I am here to support you and guide you through each step of this journey!

My modalities include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Culturally-Responsive Care, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered And Trauma Informed Approach, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Religiously Integrated Psychotherapy (Islam)
