Just like we go through life getting scrapes and bruises on our bodies, we also acquire emotional wounds. Though we can’t see these wounds, over time can they affect how we see ourselves, our relationships, and our daily lives. When these catch up with us, we may end up feeling down, stuck, or confused. During these times, it’s okay not to have all the answers and to reach out for help. I strive to provide a safe environment for you to make sense of your feelings while feeling supported in a trusting and collaborative relationship, the foundation for change. As you attend to your feelings and inner experiences, new ways of being become evident. Whatever brings you to counselling, I would like to walk with you on your journey.
I use a client-centered, trauma-informed, integrative approach, drawing on various modalities.
My modalities include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Interventions, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
